Atlanta shouldn’t stand between mothers and their babies

This is an Op Ed, that was posted in The Center Square, that I helped draft with my college at the Knee Center Dr. Ed Timmons. This piece details an ongoing court case in Georgia regrading the licensure of lactation consultants with a CLC certification under a disputed licensing law that allowed only lactation consultants who possess an IBCLC certification to qualify for licensure in Georgia. An issue that has proved troubling for lactation consultants in the state, especially during a formula shortage.
